Dear Pastors, Churches and
Friends,
Greetings from the Homans!! We
will pick up where we left off in our last letter. The last two months have
taken us from New York to Alabama/Tennessee
back to New York.
In the beginning of August we were privileged to take part in a 3 day “publick”
ministry event hosted by Old Paths Bible Baptist Church
in Rochester N.Y. The 3 days comprised of one day in
Rochester, one day in Buffalo, and the final day in Niagara Falls U.S.A/Canada.
While preaching on the street in Rochester
(8/5/04) we were privileged to witness the salvation of a young lady named Michelle.
As Michelle crossed the street I handed her a gospel tract and asked her if she
knew 100% for sure she was going to Heaven. She quickly replied to the
negative, and I proceeded to give her scripture. After about 10 minutes or so
Michelle quickly realized her “Papal religion” offered her no hope!! She promptly dropped to her knees and called upon the
Lord Jesus Christ for salvation (Romans 10:13). AMEN!!!! We followed up with 1
John 5:12-13 for assurance and turned her contact information over to Old Paths
Bible Baptist
Church. Please pray for
her growth and walk with Lord!
Also while in New York I had the
privilege to preach 400 ft over Niagara
Falls in a “hot air” balloon. What a blessing to have
the liberty to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ to thousands’ there at the
Falls. The balloon contained about 20 gospel preachers, the guy that operated
the balloon, and 2 “Hindu” women. These two women paid about $20.00 apiece to
ride in the balloon and had to listen to 20 minutes of gospel preaching!! AMEN!!
You think maybe they wanted a refund? J We are grateful to the
Old Paths Bible
Baptist Church
for this “open door” to preach!!
While having meetings at our home base here in Alabama, I had the opportunity to
participate in some of our jail ministries here at our local church. The Lord
allowed me to witness five adult men, receive a “spiritual” pardon from the
penalty of their sin of rejecting The Lord Jesus Christ (Eternity in the LAKE OF FIRE
– Rev 20:15). Tony W., William P., Donald R., Wayne T., and
Melvin S. trusted the shed Blood of the Lord Jesus Christ for their
salvation (Col
1:14). Please pray for the spiritual
growth of these men as we attempt to “follow-up”. Those of you that have
participated in Jail/Prison work know the difficulty of “follow-up” as inmates
are moved around so often.
All is still well on the “home-front” (Thanks be to God!). The last
two months have allowed me to conduct publick ministry with four of my favorite
“co-labourer’s”. Their names are Csilla, Joshua, Meaghan and Caleb. One of the
greatest blessings the Lord has given me is a family that will unashamedly
proclaim the name of Christ (2 Tim 1:8)!! Bye the way, if any of you are
considering a move to the Huntsville
Alabama area, we happen to know
of a house for sale in this area. Also, there is a Bible believing church not
even 15 minutes down the road!! Any
takers? J
We are still “attempting” to move “back” into our motor home. Lord willing
sometime this month!!

Upcoming in the month of October (the 14th to be exact), marks the
14th anniversary of the single greatest day of my life. My
“spiritual birthday”, when my Pastor Bro. Andy Grant led me to a saving
knowledge of Jesus Christ!!!(he has regretted it ever since! J)
I am in the process of trying to produce many spiritual “grand-kids” for him. Amen!!
Remember the person that led you to Christ? BEAUTIFUL ARE THE FEET OF THEM THAT PREACH THE GOSPEL OF PEACE (Romans
10:15) AMEN!!
