Dear Pastors, Churches and Friends,

Hello from the Homans!! This being our first prayer letter let us begin by saying “thank you” for all your prayer, encouragement, and support!! The last few months since beginning deputation in March have been “wide open”. The most exciting event would have to be the birth of our third child (Ps 127:3). Caleb Matthew Homan joined the ranks Saturday June 5th, 2004(6-5-4) at 0511(CST). Weighing in at a whopping 7lbs 8 oz, and at a mean 19 ½ inches in length. Mommy and Baby are both well, just eating and sleeping. We now have Joshua and Caleb and are ready to take the “Promised Land!” Amen!

The birth of a new baby is always exciting: “physically and spiritually”. A day and a half before having the privilege of watching the physical birth of my son Caleb, the Lord gave me the privilege of witnessing a spiritual birth. Thursday night after taking my niece home from a revival we had been attending, I met a young man that lives a few doors down from my niece. After meeting him I asked him if he died right then was he 100% sure he was going to Heaven. To my surprise his response was “no sir”, because “everyone down south is saved!” After a clear presentation of the gospel and the penalty for rejecting it, young Stanley bowed his head and trusted the Lord Jesus Christ as his saviour (Eph 1:12-14). Amen!!!!!!!!!! I then read 1 Jn 5:13 to young Stanley, and asked him if he just “believed on the name of the only begotten Son of God.” His response was “Yes, sir”. “Well Stanley, according to that verse if you died right now where you would go?” “Heaven” he responded. “Have you ever been able to say that before?” I asked. “No Sir”, he answered. What a blessing to not only witness a new birth, but to see that person receive assurance from the word of God!

Within the past few months we also took a 14 day survey trip to Italy. This trip was a great blessing for us. It allowed us to visit veteran missionaries and glean from their years of experience on the field. Also, to see a great need for Bible preaching in the city of Rome. We have also been trying to prepare our house for sale; locate, purchase and prepare to move into a motor home. The Lord has provided a 37 ½ foot RV for us to live in while on deputation, which we are in the process of moving into. This should be a real blessing with three children!!

The Lord has allowed us to book many meetings for this year and next. Please continue to pray that the Lord will open doors for us to present the work he would have us do in Rome.

In Christ,

“The Homans to the Romans”
