October/November 2004
Dear
Pastors, Churches and Friends,
Hello
from the Homans!!
Overview: The last two
months have “flown-by” just as the previous five months of deputation. The Lord
has been very good to us in allowing us to keep a full schedule the last few
months. For the most part we have been in Alabama
and Tennessee.
The Lord has also given us many open doors of opportunity to sow the word of
God. While going from Mont-gomery,
AL to Knoxville,
TN we stopped in Chattanooga for 2 days of “R&R”. This 2
day break was the first since beginning deputation this past April, and it was MUCH needed. While in Chattanooga we went to the Tennessee Aquarium
for a home school field trip. When we arrived we quickly realized that we were
not the only folks there on a field trip. Unloading from their buses and
marching our way were about 80-100 public school children. With only moments
until they arrived at our location we quickly positioned our “rapid response”
team (Joshua and Meaghan). They quickly took their positions, “locked and
loaded” then launched their “gospel grenades” (tracts), as I offered a tract to
all of the “not so receptive” chaperones. They won’t allow the Gospel into the government
schools so we’ll just wait until they come out in public! J Saturday November 20th we happened to be in the Tuscaloosa area finishing up a two day
missions conference. For those of you who do not live in Alabama that is “Iron Bowl” Saturday (kind
of like super-bowl Sunday for Alabamians). I was told there were supposed to be
85,000 plus people in town for this big event. The Lord gave Joshua and I
liberty to go down to the stadium and take part in the festivities! J With the Lords help we were able to get out about 3000
gospel tracts and preach the gospel to hundreds as they passed by. What a
blessing to know that the word of God WILL NOT return void (Is 55:11)
AMEN!!!
SUPPORT: Thanks be to God as our support has nearly doubled
since our last prayer letter! We are at nearly 19% now and are still plugging
along!
FAMILY: All is
going very well with the family. Csilla has us all on a “strict” diet and
schedule. Joshua and Meaghan are busy with school work and Caleb finally got a
haircut!! Not a “high and tight” but he doesn’t look like a little girl anymore.
J
PRAYER REQUESTS: 1.)
Continued open doors to put out the word of God. 2.) Meetings and support 3.)
Family health 4.) Language training 5.) House to sell 6.) Get moved into our
motor home.
Thank
you for your prayer and financial support!!
