Dear Pastor,
My name is Jamie Homan and my family and I are on deputation to go to Italy as Missionaries. I would like to begin by giving you a quick personal testimony of salvation, call to preach, and call to the field. This will be followed with some personal information regarding my family, the work we believe the Lord would have us do there, and our statement of faith.

I was saved on October 14th 1990 after my Pastor took a Bible and showed me that I was a sinner, lost, and on my way to hell, because of my sin. He then presented the gospel to me as found in 1 Cor 15:3-4, I then received Jesus Christ as my personal Saviour. After graduating high school in 1991 I served 4 1/2 years in the United States Marine Corps. I surrendered my life to preach the word of God in March of 1997. Within a few weeks of surrendering to preach the Lord opened up several doors of opportunity to preach. I was given the opportunity to preach in 3 local city/county jails, 1 state prison, a rescue mission, and a nursing home as well as on the street. The Lord continued to open doors to preach as we were able to expand our Prison ministry into 5 State Prison facilities. The Lord has also opened the door for me to work with the young men at our local church as well as teach their Sunday School Class.

I believe the Lord first began to deal with me about going to Italy approximately 6 years ago. Specifically to Rome where I had been stationed as a U.S. Marine Security guard, at the American Embassy. The first thing I did was to get counsel from my Pastor, as well as other men. The most common and sound advice was to wait and pray. That is exactly what I did. I continued to pray, seek the Lord’s face in the matter, and continued to do what I knew was right. The next step was to surrender and proceed through the open door.

I am married with 3 children. My wife’s name is Csilla (Cheela), and we have a seven year old son named Joshua and a five year old daughter named Meaghan, and a newbron son named Caleb. Our two older children have both personally received The Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour after coming to a personal accountability of their sin and need to be saved. I am going to include a paragraph of my wife’s salvation.

Hello, my name is Csilla Homan and I grew up as a lost roman catholic, thinking I was going to Heaven just because I was catholic. I attended catholic schools all my life, but whenever I had Bible related questions, my teachers could never answer my questions. At age 21 I met my future husband, and he asked me where I thought I would go when I died. I honestly at that point did not know. He then told me that I could know for sure that I was going to Heaven because of what The Lord Jesus Christ did for man in general and for me in specific. Then all the questions I had previously asked were answered. After Jamie gave me the plan of salvation, I asked The Lord to forgive me of my sin and to save me. I am thrilled to report that He did! (Rom.10:9-13).

As we believe the Lord would have us go to Rome these are the mission goals we have prayed about thus far.
